Welcome to Los Ranchos Elementary! If you have not had the opportunity to visit Los Ranchos, you should come by. Los Ranchos is a beautiful school nestled between the rolling hills of the Country Club and the sweeping vineyards of Edna Valley. We are a neighborhood school with approximately 480 students, going from transitional kindergarten to our sixth grade. Our staff includes a team of 44 teachers and support staff, all deeply dedicated to providing every student at Los Ranchos Elementary with an exceptional learning experience.

Los Ranchos Elementary is a school with an outstanding reputation. That reputation has been earned over the years due to our unwavering focus on the academic, social, and emotional success of all our students, a focus that the whole school community shares.

Our success begins with establishing a positive school climate for learning. Our students  recognize the active role they play in maintaining a respectful learning environment where every minute of instructional time counts. Our teachers take full advantage of those minutes by planning and implementing challenging and engaging work across the curriculum. Our high academic standards are combined with a balanced physical education program and a rich music program (3rd-6th grade). These subjects are provided by district teachers, experts in their fields. In addition, we are very fortunate to offer a robust art program funded by our dedicated PTA.

Another critical component to our success is that we are a family of families. We work in close partnership with our parents, knowing that parents are the first and most important teacher in a child’s life. Our army of volunteers also plays a critical role in our success. We could not provide so many enriching programs without the tireless support, active involvement, and generous donations of our parents, family members, and dedicated community volunteers.
